This is the second annual “Art of Photography Juried National Exhibition”, sponsored by the Prairie Village Arts Council. It features works in the categories of people and portraits, architecture and landscape, and abstracts and nontraditional media.
The June Artists’ exhibition at Prairie Village City Hall’s R.G. Endres gallery include the sculptural wood and mixed media pieces of Ted Denton, whimsical porcelain and stoneware teapots by Hank Hall, paper and mixed media collages of P Ebel and acrylic and mixed media paintings of Maegan Kirschner.
State of the Arts is Prairie Village Arts Council’s 13th annual juried exhibition. Voting for the People’s Choice begins Wed, Oct 2 and closes at 7:00pm on Friday, Oct. 11. The awards presentation will begin at 7:30, Friday, Oct 11. Thirty-five hundred dollars in prize money will be awarded to 9 winners. Works include all 2D and 3D media, except photography.
The November exhibition at Prairie Village City Hall’s R.G. Endres Gallery will feature the intensely colored landscape paintings of Thulan Jukhaji, still lifes painted in oils by Paula Leffel, and the stylized landscape paintings of Jean McGuire.
The March exhibit features the work of three artists. Layla McDill creates imaginative colorful sculptural pieces using polymer clay. Crystal Nederman is a landscape and architectural photographer. Paula Acheson creates surrealistic images using a digital format.
