State of The Arts 2024 is the Prairie Village Arts Council's 18th annual REGIONAL juried competition for all 2D and 3D artworks (excluding photography) held every Fall. The Exhibition runs during the months of September & October.
Our Juror: Sandra Schaffer
Sandra Schaffer is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America and Watercolor USA Honor Society, as well as numerous other watercolor societies. Her work has been published in Splashbooks 10 & 13, Best of Worldwide Watermedia Artists and The Artistic Touch books 4 & 5; her biography in the Marquis publications Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the World since 2007. She has served as juror for Watercolor USA at the Springfield Art Museum, The Missouri Watercolor Society International, The Kansas State Fair Professional Arts Division, Illinois Watercolor Society National and The Big Splash St. Louis Watercolor Society Regional Exhibition. Sandra's work is held in public and private collections, and she has won numerous awards in national exhibitions. Her primary medium is watercolor, but she has also worked in oils and in the design and creation of stained glass windows. She has an appreciation for artistic creativity in all artistic mediums and styles. |
